Do you believe in second chance?

One day, I found Mario Teguh's book on the shelf of a bookstore. The title was unbelievable, 'One Million Second Chance'. Hmm, another marketing gimmick, that was I thought at the moment. For years, most of people around me have said that there was no second chance. I was told if good opportunity never came twice. Do you agree with them?

Since the beginning of 2008, I am trying to get my life in balance. I do not attempt higher carrier so hard as years before. Otherwise, I give more time to clean the house, to write blogs, to relate with neighbours, and to gather with my beloved people. I found out that beside carrier, women have a lot of things to be learned and done to achieve better quality of life. Now, I give more respect to mothers and wives who choose to manage their families so well. They can do multitasks, from preparing food, getting the house spotless, till raising the children. But still they have good relationship with the neighbours and some of them make good money too. So, what is the relationship between second chance issue and motherhood's?

In addition to having life in balance, I decided on changing carrier to less stressful and more flexible. Decreasing in salary is compensated by comfort feeling. But, I remain having a desire to become successful in something. And I believe that second chance is for real.

Time is Precious

Time is such treasure. Banyak orang yang sibuk mengejar uang, tapi hanya punya sedikit waktu buat menikmati uangnya. Alhasil, uang justru dinikmati oleh dokter dan tabib spesialis yang memberikan treatment kesehatan pada orang-orang tersebut.
Disisi lain, berjuta-juta orang punya segudang waktu yang menunggu untuk dimanfaatkan. Apakah orang dengan segudang waktu tersebut menikmatinya? Belum tentu.
Di suatu waktu, aku merasa selalu dikejar-kejar waktu dalam rangka mengejar uang yang tidak seberapa. Saya menjadi orang bulan dan anti matahari kayak vampire. Kulit memucat dengan tatapan mata kosong. Parahnya, pundi-pundi pun tidak bertambah. Uang ternyata memang bukan sahabat saya.
Di lain waktu, saya memutuskan untuk tidak lagi mengejar uang dan memberikan banyak waktu untuk kuadran kehidupan yang lain. Walaupun awalnya perlu adaptasi, namun lama kelamaan bisa enjoy juga. Time is precious. Feel of freedom is really kick ass.
Ternyata, alam memang penuh keseimbangan. Keadilan diberikan tidak melulu secara fardu ain, tapi keadilan juga didistribusikan secara kolektif. Dan kesadaran biasanya datang pada akhir acara.
